Looking for a all around 9mm to teach my Goddaughter which will mainlybe a range gun. Thought I had it narrowed down and a gun rental suggested a CZ 75. Appreciate any feedback on this gun.

How old is she? I had a CZ75D-PCR that I tried out with the wife but because of how the slide is set down into the frame (which by the way makes these guns nice to shoot), there is less area to grip the slide to rack it and she had issues.

Wow, I thought there would be more people that had knowledge about this pistol. Loaded, she is 22 with an athletic build and fairly strong. Thx for the info.

CZ 75 platform is simply the best of all the full size guns I've shot so far (Glock 34/Sig P226, Canik TP9SFX). Low bore access, soft shooting and accurate.

I’ve got an SP-01, it’s essentially a 75 with full length dust cover. Phenomenal firearms that are typically very accurate and reliable. The issue above about the slide being harder for weaker people to grasp is true due to it lower profile. That said with practice my wife finally got the hang of it. She also got used to the overall heavier weight of it too.
I’ve done some work to my gun including converting it the single action only, it’s trigger pull is now sub-3lbs with minimal pretravel and over-travel. I’ve been known to shoot 6” groups at 100yds with it.
You don’t hear much from CZ due to their marketing. IMO they are better than other similar brands, most of which are close interpretations of the CZ 75 platform.

CZ's are probably the most under appreciated handgun in the US. In my opinion they are the best combination of ergonomics, reliability, and accuracy that there is.
Lay out 5 unloaded handguns from different manufacturers on a counter.....close your eyes and handle each one.....pick the one that feels the most natural in your hand.....CZ every time for me....

I have several EAA Witness alloy pistols, one is a 9mm. They are clones of the CZ and are made in Italy. Difficult to tell them apart. I like them better than any others for carrying and shooting. I carry either a 10mm compact or a 40 compact and they are very manageable. I'm not a fan of the plastic pistols, all if mine are either alloy Witnesses or a couple of S&W.

I love Browning Hi-Powers and the CZ-75 is what a double action Hi-Power should be. Same fit and feel.
Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

I've got a 75 Compact with the decocker. It's been flawless and very accurate. In a 9mm, the 75 is it for me

I have a Canik 55 Compact [CZ75 Compact clone] and love it. All metal body, tucked in slide, very little recoil and hammer fired. One possible drawback is it's a little heavy, but I love it.
