I went hog hunting this week at one of my friend's ranches in Cotulla (70 miles South of San Antonio). Saw nothing on monday, nothing on tuesday, and we are heading back home today (wednesday). We went ahead and made a run around the ranch this morning, and sure enough this big boy was about 120 yards down the road from one of the stands. I pulled out my AR and put a Hornady 95gr. .223 round through him just behind the ear. He dropped without taking a step. Went ahead and put another headshot in him when we got close just to be on the safe side as he was kicking every once in a while. We got him back to the house, weighed him in at 125 pounds and got him all cleaned up. My buddy showed me the easy/clean way he likes cleaning them. We didnt have to gut him so he didnt hardly stink. I now have 2 nice back straps, 2 hams and 2 shoulders ready for cooking. This was my first hog hunt, first hog kill, and my first kill for my new RRA AR!

It is a Sightmark 10-40x 56mm illuminated Reticle Scope. Figured i would get something with a lot of zoom for the varmints. I got it for $269 as a member at:

It has surprisingly clear optics even at maximum zoom.
