OK, I am ready for Friday. The annual trek to the lease, the first official full meal around the campfire. The memories of past hunts. Reminicing of old pranks and such. The opening morning hunt. hearing the distant gun shots, wondering what they got. watching every bush tree and draw, hanging on every breath waiting for that moment. Breaking the silence with the call from a grunt tube and the rattling of antlers and anxiosly awaiting the appearance of a big ole mature buck looking for a fight. Naw I don't get into this at all. I really am looking forward to taking my first ever Black Powder deer this year. Good Luck everyone and COME ON FRIDAY...

I am ready for camp cooking, good stories and those severe cases of borderline hypothermia! Ahh, the things we endure and call it enjoyable!

I just tried on my camo last night and washed it in that non smelling stuff and put it in a big ziplock bag. i spend more time getting ready for this one day than i do anything else.

I know, my wife is giving me heck. I have everything ready to load. My guns staged in my office ready to load. My deer hunting gear bag and back pack, my food in wal mart bags in the fridge and in the freezer and in the pantry, tagged and labeled ready to throw in coolers. My water cooler and ice chest loaded in truck already, all i have to do is add drinks food and ice . Fire wood loaded for the first night. Friday better hurry up or I am going to need a bigger truck.

I checked my calendar 5 times today and every time it said that it wasn't Friday yet. I think that time slows to a snails pace during this week. I'll bet I spent about 100 hours at work just today. LOL TGIF will take on a whole new meaning this Friday.

We start a countdown to the minute that shooting time starts so everytime someone sends and email to the other person we update the time. Friday gets crazy with emails.

Counting the hours, minutes, and seconds off. Can't sleep, can't eat. Beer don't even taste good right know, has'nt got that lease favor.

I need your help! I am not going to be able to go out this weekend as I have opted to take Tuesday-Friday off so I could hunt the bulk of the week and didn't want the wife to go totally ballistic by going this weekend also. I'm having serious withdrawals from this decision so please post pictures from this weekend so I can make it to Tuesday (LOL)!

Started getting ready last night, I stuffed about 60 big ole jalopeno's for this weekend, wanted to get it out of the way, them things are time consuming, but knowbody in camp cares how long they take just as long as I make them . Gonna have to make two trips to the ranch to get all my stuff there, I will take a load today and one tommorow, only about 35 miles. Good luck to everyone and be safe.

Looks like this Forum is going to be a lonely place tomorrow afternoon.

I got up this morning, ran outside, beat my head against a tree, kicked at the grass and peed all over myself this morning....oh and my neck was a little swollen.

Yep, already have anything loaded in the truck and pointed in that direction. Just don't get in front of me in the morning doing the speed limit.

Allright, the count down is on. What a beautiful day. Looks like it is gearing up to be a great opening day.
