I've been watching videos on YouTube where people take parts from their savage magazine and buy another magazine and piece them together to make a 10rd or 20rd magazine. Y'all ever done this? Is it legal? I don't want to pay the $70 for a savage 10rd when I can make one for less $$.

Have never done it, but it is legal.

Have never done it, but it is legal. For sure for this of us who live in states that still respect freedom. But if one is in a state where the voting majority was decestates for Hillary's defeat, then I'd check the local state laws.

Thanks.
I'm not very knowledgeable on guns. Only know about the few I own. I've looked up PMags. Is the PMag I need the one for the .308? I hope I don't catch too much shtuff for not knowing.

That's how Dark Eagle Customs makes their extended Savage mags, except they don't use pmags and the price is a bit steep. If you're comfortable doing it yourself go for it, but if you screw it up you end up spending more to buy another useable mag.

Decided to finally do this. Hope it works because I already broke my factory savage mag spring.
I’ll post pics once it’s done:)

I got the mag jbweld done. Tomorrow evening we will see if it works:). Looks super ugly with the jbweld runs all over it. Should have put tape. I’ll have to sand it down with my dremel and paint it.

Why would you need a 20 round mag for a bolt action rifle?

Why would you need a 20 round mag for a bolt action rifle? Lord I thought yal were the freedom brigade or something. He wants one. Who needs a black rifle with a 30 round mag? Who needs a suppressor? He wants one.

Good for you for doing something for yourself, the world is lacking people that will get chit done on their own. Get it cleaned up and lets see what it looks like.

I tested it today in the rifle. Worked but the follower stuck some. I need to clean the jbweld up some in the inside of the magazine and it should be good:)
Yes it’s ugly...I don’t care that much about it being ugly. Just want it to function. Then I can worry about making it look better. I’m sure sanding and painting will help a lot:)
Should be able to sand it down this weekend and paint it.
Love yalls comments in its looks...lol...I figured it would get some reactions:)
As for a 20 rd magazine in a bolt action...I did it because I can:)

Still sticks some when feeding. I’ll have to sand some more on the inside but it’s going pretty well:)
