My guess is grubs, wild onions and garlic, maybe what few acorns are still out there. And of course if there is a winter wheat or oat field out there.

In my area, still a lot of acorns for them. They aren't too interested in the corn yet...

Their corn and their wheat, but I bought the corn and planted the wheat. Turnabout is fair play though, and now my dog is eating them !

Yeah I've had most the sounders disappear off my place in the last month or so I think they are hitting nearby wheat fields all I have been seeing is boars hitting my feeders.

Food sources tend to be more scarce during these months, it is probably the best time of year to trap pigs.

Haven't seen a video of any hogs eating people in China. Saw a single boar attack a couple of people in China, but nobody being eaten. Read another account of a Chinese attack, but nobody eaten.
The pigs I am seeing are doing a variety of things. In the woods, they are turning over leaf litter and eating the acorns, insects, etc. underneath. In the sprouting wheat fields, they are eating the shoots. There is also typical rooting going on in places as well, tearing out grass and making holes. I assume that right now, that is mostly for bugs.

Around here they have been eating a lot of lead, not by choice though as I’ve been force feeding.

Went down to check on game cameras yesterday and I have a field full of scrub mesquites between house and feeder. In and around every mesquite are small root marks where the pigs are digging grubs.
