I don't own one but I have one I borrowed from a buddy about 3 yaers ago and he still hasn't got it back!!I've dove hunted with it several times, it's light and handles good and I haven't had any issues with it. If he ever gets his back I'll probably buy one....

A co-worker has them, and says good things about them. I do not have one, but all I've read was good.

ive got one, and have a problem or two with it. I shoot great with it, and have shot about 500 rnds through it. No problems wit functionality. Now it is really light, so it kicks like a mule!!! and thats about the only thing i have against it. You cant shoot more than 50 rnds with out ur shoulder giving u the chits! and im young and should be able to take it, and i do, but my lord it kicks hard. However it is really cheap and thats one reason we bought it since we never had an OU. IMHO spend a lil more money and get a dif one. unless u dont mind getting the heck kicked outta u. or if u dont shoot more than 25 rnds in any given day.

Brandon, I've heard that can be a problem. Do you have the 12g? I was thinking about getting the 20g for just this reason!

My dad got the 12. We put the limbsaver recoil pad on it and its very shootable for a good while. He has had it for 2 years with reliable performance this far.

It's a 12 ga. And Brandon is right, if I said anything bad about it at all the recoil would be my complaint. It does kick. I've kinda gotten into shooting side by side's, and everyone of them I've shot kicks too, I think it's just because they are so light. Since I have a SxS I love that is a 12 ga, if I buy another over and under it will be a 20 ga. My buddy that I borrowed this Yil Diz from won it so he doesn't have anything in it, I'll probably end up buying this one or trading him out of it, I'm a pretty big ol' boy so the recoil isn't unbearable for me, but it does kick LOL!!

definitely get the sims pad - it helps a lot. they are great guns for the price. a typical dove outing will not create any shoulder punishment, unless you happen to be burning the barrel up on some serious action.

ill have to get a recoil pad for mine. and bob is right, a typical dove hunt wont kill u. But if u shoot a round of 5 stand or sporting clays, or more than one round of skeet, you will be hurting. Im a big ole boy as well, and its way worse than any of my other shottys.

Academy sells the limbsaver pad it is like 30 bucks but, hey you only paid 399 for the shotgun the extra 30 bucks isn't bad.

I have that in 20ga. I don't notice the recoil that much. I'm going to put the limbsaver on it but every time I go to academy they are out of them.

Great gun for the money imo.

Make the counter guy show you every one in stock and get the one with the best wood.

Good luck

I used to just love doing that for customers, especially when we had about 10 of them in stock.

I'm not sure if your being facetious or not but if you are, would you go to a car dealership and settle for a white car when you wanted a black one?

I have two, one a 12 and one a 20. I love them. I put the Limbsaver pads made for it and sold at Academy on both. Never had a problem with either. I think its the best O/U you can get for the buck. Especially in my case. I bought the 12 at Academy for the "full retail" of $400 but the 20 was just as new and nice from a pawn shop for $250.

I do prefer the Briley screw in chokes that Academy also sells for them.

Let me put it this way. After getting them I sold my 12ga 11-87 and my sons 20ga 870 Express.

Well, I went by Academy and took your advice Payne. VERY good advice indeed. I woulda never thought of doing that. Thanks! Anyway I wanted the 20g so my wife could shoot it and my son in about 6-7 years.:) Plus what I've read says the 12g kicks like hell!
So I went in and said I'd like to look at some different ones so I could pick the one with the best looking stock TO ME. First couple looked ok but not great then I came across one that looked REAL nice but the ejector hammer on top was waaay offset to the right. The guy then tells me it will free up after it's put together and shot some...? I say "That's not right, Why weren't the rest of them offset?" He says he'll get the manager. The manager tells me that "they are supposed to be like that" Again "Why aren't the rest like that?". So he tells the guy behind the counter "Get the $1400 Browning O/U out and show him it's the same way. HaHa The Browning was perfectly aligned!!! He looked very
embarrassed. So I look at two more and find one that was just beautiful! The idiot guy behind the counter try's to put it together and puts about a 1/2 inch scratch on the etching with the pin sticking out of the stock piece... UUUGH. I decided to leave and hit up another Academy tomorrow.
Wasted about a hour messing with those dummy's.

tthats academy for u...they usually dont have very well informed employees. i thought about getting a job at one, i walked around and started asking B.s. questions to dif employees about certain products.... they were pretty good actors at knowing what they were talking about, but most of em were way wrong and had no idea. i did have one guy that actually knew what he was talking about in the fishing section though.
