My good name and my dad's pre '64 model 70 are not for sale at any price.

Scary similar story as Dalroo's. My granddad's 1916 Steven's Crackshot hangs on my office wall and would never be sold. And of course my dog's off limits as well. Everything else could have a price tag put on it if needed.

Greatness! Mine may be a bit shorter, 22" barrel, and my trigger guard is plainer, but otherwise very similar. And not completely sure of mfg date on mine, just the patent date which is 1907.

Lets see..
1. Wife, kid, and dog
2. My rem 870 my dad gave me for my 18th birthday. I always hunted birds with one of his shotguns, but this 870 was MY first gun.
3. My late grandfather's (mom's dad) Remington 700 BDL 30-06 that was passed down to me when he passed. Still a beautiful rifle and still shoot it from time to time, but plan to keep it mainly a safe queen and pass it down when its time.
4. My other late grandfather's (dad's dad) old Remington 572 pump 22. Has been a truck gun all of it's life and continues to be a truck gun.

Most importantly, my relationship with God through Jesus.

On a level with others, I have a couple of guns passed to me that are not leaving. My Dad only got one Christmas present growing up. Savage Stevens single shot .22 bolt action. My uncles said that he never left the house without it growing up. It is the first gun I shot as a kid. He refinished the stock some years ago, but the metal has never been touched. It will go to one of my grandsons some day.

In the mid 60's, I read an article in one of Outdoor mags that my grandfather would pass down after he finished them. This new, fat lever action round caught my eye and I just knew I would have one some day. It took over 45 years, but I finally bought a 444 Marlin and it stays.

All of my except 2 guns were stolen in a break in 10 years back, except 2 that I inherited from my Uncle Bill when he passed 3 years ago, one is nothing special a Weatherby Vanguard in .223. Oh, but the other is quite the treasure. A Belgian made Browning superposed in 20 ga. That he would let me shoot on our yearly trek to Hondo to shoot doves.

I probably wouldn't sell my kids. Not all of them anyway.

My Mathews LX that I just bought back from some guy off of eBay 12 years after trading it in at a shop. All my guitars, all my guns, my Gunsmithing tools and a set of never published fly fishing books by Lefty Kreh. Family friend got the printing job and then Lety pulled out of the deal. So I have the only set ever printed and got some of them signed by Lefty years ago from my rod building teacher who was best friends with Lefty. I will pass them along to someone when the time comes.

My 1978 GMC C20 Sierra Classic pick up. My dad bought it for me for my 17th birthday. If I make it to March 10, I'll be 42. It's not for sale.

I won’t sell my inherited guns or inherited land. Also my grandads football uniforms he wore when he played at TCU from 1930-1933. There are a few other items I’m sure I would not sell if I really thought about it.

Keep what you like and use, sell everything else put money in the bank!
Make sure if you pass it down make some memories with it first otherwise
It has no value to them!

Also. Might remind them of things of high value you may own, like oil paintings and such. We love 'Antiques roadshow'. You might be shocked at the value of many things people buy at estate sales and garage sales. They take them to the show and it turns out it's a China bowl from the Ming dynasty worth $1,000,000

wouldn't sell my dog...every year when I guide some rich guy wants to buy her. 8k was the biggest offer.

My Benelli montifeltro 12g I got right out of high school. Waited 8 months for it cause its a lefty. I worked like a dog for that gun...went from a single shot Stevens to sweet auto. Its a Heckler and Kotch version.
My fly boxes I've tied for years.
My custom Savage model 10 FCP in 7mag.
