I had a thread earlier about hunting from a bike and there were mixed feelings but I have since bought one and started fixing it up to hunt. It is GREAT!! I can ride the roads in complete silence and get the stand in way less than half the time. So far I haven’t carried a deer out yet because I killed two last sitting and knew there was no way to carry two so got the truck but I’m sure I can do it after having messed around with it.

I think it's a good idea.
My only concern is the gun shaking so much being on the handlebars
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

I used to ride a mountain bike out to the blind when duck hunting the refuges in Central CA back in the 90's. It was so much faster getting back and forth. We carried our decoys on our backs and put on our waders when we got to the water. I heard that they banned this, but don't know for sure since I moved to Texas. Where I live now, I like to walk to my blind. I've seen animals walking back that I wouldn't have seen otherwise.

My only concern is the gun shaking so much being on the handlebars it’s really about like being on a ATV I was surprised how steady it is and I’m not going off any sweet jumps so it seems to be ok.

how are you getting animals out? I do mostly dove/small game hunts with the bike, but in the one case where I shot a pig I packed what I could fit into my backpack and pedaled out.

Did you know that they make bikes with motors on them? You don't have to pedal.

I use a mountain bike quite a bit. I have my game cart that I attach to my rear rack as a trailer. Several of the public hunting areas don't allow motorized vehicles. That rig makes it a LOT easier to get back away from the crowds and haul out game. Can't say it's real silent though. I've silenced my cart the best I can and it still rattles as I go down the path.

Guy on our lease showed up with a Ninja Bike. Its battery powered and goes about 20 miles on a charge. That thing is fast and quiet.

Nice looking set up. I'm going this week on a hunt by bike.
Why black paint versus a camo?

Why black paint versus a camo? It was shiny and I had black paint.
