I'm an overeducated thug, and an underappreciated genius.

I had to learn for myself what "auto-didactic" means.

OK. I will play. Seems like age, ht & wt are required, so I'm 55, 6' 1/2" and a mostly solid 230. I was born at Fort Hood while my father was in the army. He was 2nd Armored Division. He stayed in the Reserves and retired a Lt. Col. He is still a great shot at 79. He shot two hogs in the ear last weekend at 100 yards.

I've lived in the Houston or Dallas area all my life. Went to Pearce HS where I played football and tore up my shoulder. Dreamed of playing D1 football but the shoulder and having white man's disease (run slow) ended any chance. I'm a 2nd generation former student of Texas A&M as you can tell by my handle. I'm at least a fifth generation Texan. Worked for a major bank for 18 years out of college and then joined my father to help him grow his real estate company about 14 years ago.

My father got me started hunting, and I shot my first doe at age 8. I cannot begin to guess how many deer I have killed over the years. Love hunting just about anything, but deer are my #1.

I didn't marry until I was 38. My wife says I was a player until I met her, and she is right. I got a package deal with a wonderful step daughter who is now teaching special needs. My younger daughter is a mini me when it comes to the outdoors. She shot her first deer at age 7 and her first buck at 8. She is 14, and I now allow her to hunt by herself.

I like 70s and 80s country and rock. I spend all my free weekends at the ranch. My adult beverage of choice is beer, but will imbibe in a good vodka or tequila on occasion. When I leave this earth, I want my legacy to be my integrity. I hate liars, cheaters, thieves and mean people. I don't believe in hand outs, but I will give anyone a hand up. I have no use for snowflakes or progressives. I'm done with the NFL. I don't do social media. I've driven Chevy trucks all my life with the exception of one Dodge. Seriously thinking about a Ford Superduty as my next vehicle. Naaah, probably will buy another Chevy.

Grew up on a ranch in Bosque County. I'm moving back to the ranch where I will hunt and fish every day upon retirement. I Managed an archery pro shop for several years back when archery equipment required pros to set it up. Joined a large police department and have been doing that for 22 years. Married and divorced the succubus some years later. My retirement date is October 1, 2020. I'm currently a sergeant of a large gang unit and hopefully I get to October 1, 2020 without a knife or bullet finding me.

I'll bite.

I'm WM, 41, 5'11, 210. I grew up in Nacogdoches Co. I graduated from Douglass High School in '94, SFA in '99.
I'm married to a fine member of the Shawnee Nation of OK. We have 2 beautiful children, Kate 4, Cash almost 2. I accepted Jesus Christ as Savior on June 18, 1986, it was the best decision I've ever made. I've been married for 6 years.

I enjoy hunting deer, hogs, and squirrels. I also love to fish, especially salt water. I live on 89 acres of hardwoods in Polk Co. It is a wonderful place, I've tried to make it mine twice but the owner won't sell it. If I make it to 12/02/2017 I will have been a small town LEO for 8 years.

I'm a deacon in a local church, and I truly enjoy teaching the Word of God, especially to the youth. I have a 1978 GMC pickup that means more to me than any other physical possession. It will be the last thing to go, if I ever find my family hungry.

Born and raised here in Waco 65 years ago. Lived in Whitney for a few months where I started the 1st grade.
back in Waco, I went to Nalley Elem., then Parkdale 4th thru 6th. Jr. high was Tennyson(I can see it out my front door now).
Went to high school at Richfield...graduated in '70. Took a couple semesters at MCC Jr. College, but having a girlfriend I needed money. Off to work.

I was raised by a poor country boy that was born at Smith Bend on the Brazos. I followed him to rivers, lakes and woods all my life until he had to slow down because of his health. He died 3 yrs ago at 90. I was privileged to get to spend so much time with him. His last 12 years I spent caring for him.

Most of my work was in home construction. I swung a hammer for many years. My last job was a manager for a shooting sports shop before caring for the folks.
I have not fished or hunted for 10 yrs., but I still buy the license every year in support of wildlife. I have nephews that keep me supplied with game and fish.

Wasn't going to bite, but what the hell laugh

Quickly approaching 62 going on 39, last time the tape was put on me I was 5'10 & 1/2", tipped the scales at 216 lbs 20 over what I use to call my fighting weight. Still work out a lot and do some cardio, not enough obviously.

Born in FT. Belvoir/Alexandria, VA. to an Army Major who was a serious Hard Azz, my mother Betty Baby was way too cool and all about her kiddos, everybody loved my mom cheers and feared my dad. My dads father was a baker in downtown Dallas way back when. Do not know how many generation Texans my family is and how far we date back to, sure it is quite a few.

There were 9 kids in our family, 6 boys, 3 girls (Catholics). Lot of great memories and a few bad ones. Oldest brother Wilson was a like a low land gorilla, black belt in Tae Kwon Do and a true bad azz, died at 29, next oldest brother Bill just loved fighting died at 23. Chris would fight when necessary he was the smart one. Then me, initially I was the little goody two shoes altar boy who did not want fight, but after enough azz kickins from the older brothers I got into my first real fight in 4th grade which was set up by my older brother Bill and the other guys older brother, last fight I was in I was 34 or 35 at Stampedes, that was 26 + years ago. I made a post on here about fighting, it wasn't meant to thump my chest but to expose a lying liberal sissy [censored] on here who posted a blatant lie about me. I did not intentionally mean to misstate that I was in about 40 real fights, it was around 30 sorry.

I will repeat, I am not or ever have been a Bad Azz just a guy who use to like to fight and was good at it but not really into hurting anyone badly by kicking heads in, biting ears off and gouging eyes out which was popular back then. Hope I never get in another one, but to me its like riding a bike, should it ever happen again I bet I can still pop a good wheelie up

Next younger brother Jerry, cool dude and a Foosball king not a fighter, next the youngest brother a crazy one, John aka Con Pius,a short stocky pool shark who would swing or throw a butcher knife or any other object at you in a heart beat, one sister Teresa who would also swing with the boys, fond memory of her giving Johnny C. a black eye when they were both like in the 5th grade up My other two sisters were just normal confused2 Kind of sounds like the Cleavers on leave it to Beaver right roflmao

Out of all 9 kids I was the only nature boy in the family, if you wanted to find me you needed to head to the nearest creek or woods. First deer hunt was in the 7th grade and had a whopper of a buck fever story laugh In Oak Cliff I knew every inch of Five Mile & Crow Creek, all of lower Kiest park.

Moved out of my parents house at 18 had a job at Goody Goody liquor delivering alcohol to restaurants and bars, fun job great perks except one day when I had to deliver the ghey route, not good day but funny to look back on.
Lived in the Trails apartment by Love Field while I worked in at the liquor store, then at the bars as a bouncer and anything else they needed, worked at various clubs doing all kinds of crazy things muyloco

Got into various sales positions, went to Richland college at night while working.
Ended up being a dreaded car salesman loco After a while the used car manager at Bankston Lincoln Mercury. Auto Nation bought Jimmy Bankston out then the bean counters tried to run the dealership and I got out.
Jumped into insurance, then mortgage, and last but not least working for the FDIC as a Claims Specialist, then in Investigations.

Married at 39 to the most wonderful women in the world, had my first kiddo at 42 and last at 44 and they are two incredible kiddos.
So very fortunate to have great friends in the country and in the city. Man I enjoy hunting, fishing, cooking, cutting up and listening to good tunes cheers Mellowed out a lot in the last 5 years.

I really Despise Liars, Thieves and Chicken Chit Cowards who talk chit behind other peoples back whip

37 years old, 6'tall 190lb. born in Yuma AZ. Moved all over the country the first 10 years of my life. Went to 16 schools before I graduated High school.
Father was a Marine, retired after 24 years. Mom stayed home with me and my 2 younger brothers until we were in school. She went to work at Delta in 1989 and just retired a year ago. Dad passed away from Cancer in May of 97' at the age of 42 and 21 days.
Started work in construction in 1999. Got married to my wife in 05' have three kids, two girls and one boy. Love them all more than I can say. For the past 12 years I have worked as a construction Superintendent.
Hunting and Fishing most of my life. Guns and reloading are another big part. Got a picture sitting with my dad at his bench when I was 9 or 10. I still load from the same bench. I love good music, Folk, Americana, Classic Country, Rock etc.. I hate POP Country and all that that implies. I like all kinds of beer, wine and liquor. I like all kinds of food and trying new food form other cultures. I enjoy cooking and do it often. Only a few things I have ate I didn't like. I have lots of friends but only a small few are the best of friends.
I have had two great dogs in my life, both are gone. I have had 4 worthless dogs in my life. I don't do cats.
My faith is strong but could be stronger. I,like most cant stand liars, thief's or people who are late.
I love sailing though I don't get to very often. Once spent 15 days sailing the Caribbean with two of my best friends. One day I plan to live in the islands, fish the pylons, and drink green label each day.

Hey all, long time reader, first time poster. Figured this would be a good thread for my first post. I'm 34, 6'7" & 210 lbs. on a good day. Grew up in north east Texas near Carthage, went to Blinn after high school then to Texas A&M. Moved to Houston for work two weeks after graduating and have hated every minute of it. Got married in 2010 and had our first baby, a girl, in November of 2016. Wife and I were able to purchase a small piece of acreage just south of Brenham and we are in the process of building our forever home. I have always wanted to own a ranch and be a cowboy, now we are making that a reality. I count down the days to when I no longer have neighbors within arms reach and will be able to see the stars again. I have started a grass fed beef business that is just getting off the ground. Mainly sell wholesale now, but will get into retail in the near future.

I started hunting at a later age in 2013, but have always loved the sport. Love all things outdoors really, with hunting and fishing being the top two. I don't like large crowds and there are only a few people I consider very close friends. I am a millennial, but do not fit the profile. My political stance is conservative and my core values come from my God loving mother.

That's a pretty good start, it has been a pleasure reading all of your stories, seeing your photos and sharing your adventures.
