I could ask my ex-wife if she'll do it!

Make sure you have some eye protection on.
Wrap the press up with towels or blanket.
Slowly deprime the case and dispose of the primer.

I will try the towel method and see what happens The wife thing won’t work she knows I’m up to something. If I would wear my prescription glasses when I load I could avoid this problem. I’m reloading 25 wssm so I don’t want to lose any brass.
Thanks

I have heard that soaking the thing in oil for a week will effectively kill the primer.

I think I would try what JEH7mmmag says.

This will work. I have done it many times when the Dillon threw a fit. Sometimes they pop and sometimes it wont.

Unless your loading something with hard to find or VERY expensive brass, I wouldn't worry about it. It's no big deal and I have removed a couple I put in bcackwards myself, but I wonder no why in the world I did when it was just my own once fired .45 brass.

I'm sur if you really had to, you could follow the instructions above, but I would also find somethig to soak them in first to neutralize the primer.

I have done it several times, just remove any flammable materials (like if you have already charged your powder hopper), wear eye protection and gloves, and do so very, very slowly. Don't try to force it, it should come out. A shot of WD-40 should kill the primer...

A friend of mine learned that the hard way. He was a policeman for many years, and a friend of his had the habit of using a spray lubricant (may have been WD-40) on his weapon once a month or so. Only problem is that he would not unload it, just rack the slide back and spray. Apparently the lubricant degraded the primers. He found it out when he drew his weapon in a confrontation, pulled the trigger and it went click. He was killed before he could change mags... So the moral of the story is, yes, petroleum based spray lubricants will kill your primers gents...

All this for at most .50 cents of reloading components.

Yeah WD-40 is not even good for the gun much less the ammo. I still haven't figured out why they use it to lubricate or cure the metal after parkerizing.. DUH

I would be hesitant to use WD-40 to kill the primer because then you have the possibility of WD-40 residue in the case when you put in another primer and powder.

I think it's just best to toss it.

If you tumbled after the WD-40, it would probably be removed by the media. It removes my Hornady One-Shot from brass. **Note I am speculating. I have not tested WD-40 against tumbler media**
