You won't get sandhill near Houston. Sandhill are out west and up in the panhandle. Someone on here I'm sure will recommend an outfitter. I wish u good luck as I would like to eat one myself. I've heard they are really good to eat.

We see a lot of them when we are hunting up around Lubbock and Amarillo. I'm sure you can find some listings in that area. We can shoot them here at home in Idaho, and when they are grain fed they are not terrible. People who call them "ribeye in the sky" are pulling your leg, and eating bad beef!!!!!

We run hunts SW of Houston about 75 minutes. We do our best not to overhunt them and push them out. It is by far the hunt we run the least because they can't handle a ton of pressure and we don't have the numbers that the Panhandle does. We ran 18 hunts last year and harvested 180 birds for a 10 bird per hunt average, remember that each person can only harvest 2 birds.

We are 3 Hour drive from Dallas Fort Worth near the Pan Handle with 3 crane per hunter limits. What most of our regular Houston area client's do is fly into to Wichita Falls Airport on American and rent a car and drive up to us.
