I am back home in VA and finally had a chance to really sit down at my PC after catching up on some "To Do's" after returning from my hunt in Texas.

As member of the THF we benefit from all the feedback we see on outfitter and their hunts.....and there are a number of excellent outfitter that post on the Exotic Forum. I am not going to list them as I do not wish to leave anyone out, but I would like to single out one outfitter/guide that I have hunted with twice and I can highly recommend.

Jamey Dilley (aka j4dguns on the forum) is both a great guy and a great guide. If you are looking for a sheep hunt, Jamey has access to some outstanding Red Sheep and Urials in Eden,Texas as well as Mouflons in Gatesville, TX. The red sheep were simply outstanding. I was super impressed. He also has access to a very large number of other game including Axis, Aoudad, Fallow, Nilgai, Pere David, Red Stag, Addax, Black Buck Antelope, Red Lecwhe, Nubian Ibex, Gembok, Scimitar-Horned Oryx, zebra and bison to name a few. While we hunted this past weekend we saw tons of gemsbok, oryx and simbok.

Aside from the game, the lodge was outstanding and you would have no problem taking your wife or girlfriend (my room had a connecting bath) and we had some great food (elk, bison, ostrich, etc).

Jamey is a stand up guy and his priority is making sure you have a great hunt. If you are looking for a hunt I would encourage you to put Jamey on your list of outfitters to consider and talk to.

Don,
We were lucky to kill that ram I shot. Due to all the rain the ranch was very brushy......I actually would have shot either of the two bigger rams as I figured that this was going to be a hard hunt and they were both great rams. Below is a pic of one of the red sheep that was shot on the ranch.

I did not take the picture. You would need to ask Jamey. All the rams were impressive. That said, the two on the left were the best. If you want a TCU with a full white bib I saw two that were not in this group that were impressive. As I said, the ranch had a ton of sheep. You should reach out to Jamey.

Agreed Tony.

Jamey is a stand up guy.
Every time I've visited the ranch I am amazed at the Herds of addax, gemsbok, zebra, blesbok, scimitar oryx, Arabian oryx, lechwe, eland, impala, blue wildebeests, black wildebeest.... etc.... spread over a 3000 acre thick heavy hard hunting ranch.

If anyone wants to hunt for their trophy where around the next turn you could see the new world record or the trophy of your lifetime call Jamey.

Now if a client wants a measurement and a picture before they book. Then this may not be the place. Too thick too many herds and too many quality trophies to choose from.

If anyone wants great accommodations, great food and a first class safari experience with herds of animals to select from Then give him a call you will not be disappointed.

Congratulations Tony on a Dream ram.

Signed
Jealous
