Well after months of discussion fellow member TONYVA decide to book a hunt with me here at the LUCKY 7 ranch in Eden Tx. With all the rain we knew the hunt was going to be tuff. Tony arrive Friday and we check his weapon and decided to head out, no luck, never even saw the group he was running with although I had seen them briefly earlier in the morning and thought I had them pen pointed. After a nights rest we woke up and headed out, after about an hour of driving and searching I located one of the rams on the edge of a road sticking out a little from a bush about 250 yards in front of us. I whispered to tony there they are! We took a huge circle around to try and get a better look and being so green we just couldn't see them. So I told tony no guts no glory let's go in after them and as we were approaching Tony son Anthony had a great vantage point and spotted them, as you know they spotted us and we only had a very small window to view them. I told tony there he is third from the left and within seconds Tony creased the 30-06 thru some brush at 122 yards into the rams shoulder and dropped him. It was a great shot! As we pulled up the only thing you could see was MASS!! Stroking 12inch bases on this bruiser!

My son and I had an exciting hunt with Jamey. As fellow THF members know from some of Sheephunters posts, Jamey has some excellent sheep to hunt. We are still at the ranch and are going out to look at red sheep.

This evening we took a ride and saw some Outstanding red sheep and I was wise enough to leave my rifle at the lodge or I probably would have had to kill one if we could have ever gotten a shot. Some really great rams on this ranch. Not easy to approach and they are very spooky but really great looking rams.
