I have a membership at top flight in Columbus, Texas but they offer day hunts and the areas are smaller so more manageable as far as covering ground. It's not wild birds like South Dakota or Colorado, but I really enjoy it.

I did a 'put and shoot' pheasant/quail/chukkar shoot at Rough Creek Lodge, west of Glen Rose two weeks ago.
Also have hunted Greystone Castle for their mixed bag shoots. Not as nice or pricey as Rough Creek, but it was a good time as well.
Both activities were entertaining and neither were physically strenuous.
Have hunted with Stanfield as well, but it was about 10 years ago. If you give Rough Creek 5-stars on accomodations/service, I might give Stanfield one star; maybe.
I didn't consider any of the 3 'hunts', merely shoots; go find wild birds up north if you want a hunt.

Might want to check out the Texas Panhandle up around Dumas. I have heard that wild pheasants are starting to come back.
Don't talk the talk if you didn't walk the walk.

That place looks nice. Wish they were closer to Cedar Creek.. heh
Hunting is easy..it's getting permission from your wife that is tough.
