When all morning i'm getting stuff done then swing the door open to this. Good snake or not, I always switch to little girl mode. Screaming and high stepping backwards...

I like non-venomous species of snakes and never kill them...but, that doesn't stop me from freaking out when you have one close to you and unexpected.

Rat snakes are some kind of scary. All snakes are scary first, evaluated for legit scariness second. Kind of a weakness of mine. Those guys afraid of a spider are the real scared-ee cats though...

Had friend visiting yesterday evening along with his 13 year old son. The dad spotted a scorpion scurrying across shop floor, which I dispatched. Told them I usually kill 3 or so every few days, and that was only the second this week, so there was probably another lurking. The teenager did not like that response and was on high alert for the rest of the visit.
But, yeah, im kind of like that old song, I don't like spiders or snakes (or scorpions)..........
