I own a Go Devil, buddy owns a Gator Tail, other buddy owns a Pro Drive. We take it to the lake, the Go Devil is the slowest of all 3. The Gator Tail hands down beats the other two in performance, speed, and durability IMO. Mud Buddys I'm only familiar with them breaking down. Could be just bad luck with the few I have been around, but I haven't been impressed by them at all.

assuming stock 37 motors all on the same exact boats/loads the gator tail would most likely win.

I have run pd's and gtrs in the past. Just picked up a used 2016 37 on Saturday w 19 hrs on it. Pushed a 1948 uncle J 31 mph in 10 ft of water empty. 27 mph with me, my son, dog and yeti 65. The new efis seem to have a little more get up and go then the old stock 35s. Real happy w it so far but I'm not one to say one brand is better than the others necessarily. They will all get the job done.

On lake X at o'dark 30 in high winds the heavy and slow self bailing prodrive would be afloat while all the light hulls with little to no flotation may be on the bottom.
OR
Depending upon length of the race and average water depth it could be the semi v hull with the jack plated 150hp merc sitting on the back.
OR
If the race is to get back into the water after breakage based upon customer service reputation it won't be the Mud Buddy by any reports that I've heard.
So many variables. This could be a contender for longest off season post. I didn't want to be late to the party.
Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.

What's funny is all the mud boats use basically the same power plant. Briggs and Stratton. The drive and the hull are the differences in the manufacturers. So if a mudbuddy breaks or a prodrive or a gtr breaks, really what's breaking is the Briggs and Stratton motors. But I can say I've become a mudboat mechanic out of owning one. It's not terribly hard.

It's not terribly hard. Thruths but not all the facts. Yes they all run the same motor. But it's all the parts around them that are not the same. Lower units etc. Then you start talking about rpm's.

It doesn't matter, they are all slow dogs so far as performance. Aint none of them can you dump on the ground and run it it off into the water.

If the race has curves in it, GatorTrax smokes the pack.

From the research I've done the gatortail would come in first and the Prodrive last.. from my personal experience, NO ONE has better customer service or support than Prodrive. They take care of their customers, I've been more than impressed with them. I'll trade a few mph on the top end for durability, reliability and outstanding customer service.
