Might just buy a gun anyway.

If you didn't get a refund then you probably make enough to buy a gun anyways.

My wife started a new job and screwed up her W-4. Put "Married - 6 dependents". So they withheld basically nothing.

I never changed my withholding once the wife starting working only part time. And with a kid in college, the lower income combined with deductions and credits for paying college tuition has decreased our tax burden significantly.

Add the cost of child care, and you may find it doesn't pay to have two people working full time.

Ideally, you want to be at zero or owe them just a little. If you are getting big refunds every year then you need to change your withholding. You are giving an interest-free loan to the government. It's better off in your pocket than theirs.

It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

Went from having to pay 12k to a small refund. It did help fund a few parts.

Looks like everyone beat me to the refund jokes. This is the first year in our short 4 year marriage that we had a refund. I assumed this year's filing was going to be a last f u from the welfare, oppression olympics administration but we were pleasantly surprised that tax policies changed that quickly.

No gun but I plan on splurging on some Lapua brass for reloading. Since I have a not so cool savage, I'm hoping the brass will get me into the cool guy club.

What gun can I buy for $46.00? I hate our tax code. I pay exorbitant amounts of taxes and family members of mine who pay very little in net taxes receive a refund of $14k. Help me understand.

I bought a crate of M4s and another crate of grenades. But that was for the troops. At least that's what I want to think I bought with what I owe.
