Will be traveling to BA a few times this year for work. Looking to extend one of my trips to do some hunting. I have to bird hunt given Argentina's reputation but have thought about a big game hunt as well. Any recommendations on other game to hunt in Argentina given the trophy quality available? I know red stag is definitely up there.. Also, when is the best time of the year to go?

I know Stag and birds are a go and I do have friends that go just about every year in October to hunt birds. They kill thousands every year. Not sure of the outfitter, but there's no shortage if you do a search.
How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

Here is the outfitter I booked my hunt with this year. Will be my first time to Argentina in June. Met with him and the lodge owner at DSCI show last month and seem to be very nice guys. They had very good references, but I can't act as one until I actually hunt with them . Randy Sauceda http://www.llsporting.com/L&L Sporting Journeys 866-245-5055 210-748-9392 cell

Here is a follow up question. The outfitter we have been working with has requested that we wire our deposit instead of putting it on a credit card. I know this is a good place as I know people that have gone. But is that normal? He says it is in Argentina.

I know this is a good place as I know people that have gone. But is that normal? He says it is in Argentina. I've went to AR for a dove hunt 4 years ago and am headed back in April. My group was able to send checks to the outfitter. With that said, I would trust the people that have gone along with other references.
