Found the link above , entered my serial and was told if I had a smooth trigger face I needed to call , now I have to remove scope , box up and ship to North Carolina since no one in Tx can do the recall work , all shipping is included with insurance but have to re-zero scope and worry about damage and loss , I don't think this gun is made any more , so not sure how the can insure replacement . Thanks for the link .

Or just install a decent aftermarket trigger, no removing scope, no worry about damage or loss, no shipping or wait.
Rifle basix. Timney. Jewel.
If you don't want to install it yourself, take it to Larry Pockrus in Ponder.

Whatever the case, if it requires removing the barrel from the stock, you'll need to re-zero. The Model 700 doesn't have a free floated barrel. When the barrel is settled back into the stock, it's likely the POI will change relative to the scope setting.

I have thee 700' one basix's, one timney on one and the other is a 80's 243 BDL still original trigger. I like the timmney best but both were easy installs.

Buy a Timney. You'll kick yourself for not buying one sooner.
I have on on a 700 ADL. Plan on getting Timney for two Ruger American rifles.
