This stag handled knife has a dog star pattern Damascus and a stainless guard that is scratched upon. Dang stag is getting as high as ivory now. This is a good piece of stag and has been soaked in mineral oil overnight.

Outstanding work! Love the way you position the pattern of the steel to give that extra awesomeness effect.

Beautiful! Have you done one like this in ivory? Do you think Trump will kill Obama's EO on ivory?

The mineral oil really give the stag that antiqued look? just the simple act of soaking? need to try this.. Very nice indeed.

Les, I have one I just finished it fossil walrus. I am getting a photo of it and will post it when complete.
I doubt The over turn on t he elephant ivory. A few states went above, like in California even the ivory teeth from elk are illegal. Mammoth tooth and tusk are illegal in 4 states so you have to keep up with what and where shipping.

Safdm. The color comes from boiling it in dye. The mineral oil just helps it from cracking down the road, though I suggest either a soak or at least twice a year. Use the daylight savings time chane to change oil in stag or ivory handles.
