What does this look like to you? Most seem to think a mountain lion because of what looks like a tail. This was by my feeder a couple of weeks ago, dates were wrong on the camera.

Bobcat is what I first thought, but everyone else seemed to think otherwise. Certainly I do have bobcats out there.

Well, what were the other people's reasoning for it not being a bobcat?
It is a bobcat, but it would be interesting to hear their arguments.

It is a bobcat, but it would be interesting to hear their arguments. the shadow going from the front foot to the rear looked like a tail to them.

They said the shape of the ears, the what looks like a tail, and looks like a solid color. They say that pictures don't like, but they don't tell the truth, either. The solid color is really dubious with night shots from game cameras. Many of my bobcats look like they are solid colored and some actually are, but with the night shots, they almost all look that way. I don't know about the ear shape, but the white spot on the ears is a bobcat trait. As for the "tail," it isn't connected to the cat. It is just discoloration of the ground.

I save most of the bobcat pics I get to share with the family. Unfortunately, most are at night and so the colors don't show as well. Yeah, I never did find out what happened to those turkey. The next week when I visited, there were turkey feathers on the ground, but whether it was from that event or some other event, I don't know.

Bobcat, mt lions do not have light or dark spots on their ears. Moved the pic to my computer and zoomed in. Bobcat for sure, you can see the spotted pattern in the hide, ears really do tell just like Ims said.
