Overpriced to be sure. Over-rated, I really doubt it. I shot one that belonged to some random guy who happened to be at Elm Fork when I was one day. Shot a legitimate 1/3 moa 5-round group with 6.5 ELD-M.

Certainly not overrated. If I recall the one dude shooting a RPR at the last THF precision match was using factory ammo and shot the best score on the sub-moa stage (1" dots @ 100yds, 5 shots strong hand, 5 shots weak hand, timed). He shot lights out with that RPR to the point where I was wondering why I spent so much time and $ on my rifle

for sure not overrated, mine in .308 shoots 1 1/2" groups at 400 yards with a Leupold 6.5 x 20 x 40 Vx 3, I shot a nice buck at 305 yards with a directly placed shot a few weeks ago. I know they are hard to find and if you do, get one. Mine was a Gen 1 and I put a muzzle brake on it, I have been shooting for over 55 years including time in military. I got mine at a helluva price of $1200 couple months ago from a dealer I do a lot of business with...I can tell you from years of experience...it is NOT overrated.

My boss ran into a guy who needed to sell one to pay some bills. I think he paid $950 for one in .308 Gen1 I'm pretty sure.

I've been following these in an RPR group for a while. Are they accurate? Yes. But from what I have seen in the RPR group, QC is definitely lacking on these guns. Crooked hand guards, tool marks, scratches, burn marks on the bolts, brakes that aren't timed properly. Most of the complaints are on the Gen2 guns. So be sure to go over the gun really well before you accept it. And don't pay more than $1100 out the door for one.
It is far more important to be able to hit the target than it is to haggle over who makes a weapon or who pulls a trigger.

I see these priced at $1200 retail locally so the price certainly sounds high. I've seen the on sale for 10% off a couple of times per year.

My friend did an interesting comparison that surprised me. He had an RPR and the much cheaper Ruger American both in 6.5 Creedmoor and shot them side by side. They both shot the same size (sub-moa) groups at 100 yards with some factory soft point ammo.
