All the public boot hunters in here...
What's the farthest walk you've made to hunt a hole? Wanting to see how mad everyone is at the ducks and what they're willing to do!!

3/4 mile one way is my farthest hole! The walk in is easy! The walkout is what sucks! Lol

I've made plenty of 3/4 - 1 mile walks, one way, but on private. I haven't hunted public much but we have walked up to 1/2 mile through waist high salt grass and that sucks until you get a trail laid down.
I'm with GK because I like salty old dudes.

I got a few spots that are 1.5 miles+ one way. I agree littlejr13, walk back Is much worse! It's really enjoyable after getting skunked!

It's not how far but what you walk through. I've been walking 1 hour each way the past week in mid calf mud. My acls are screaming by the end

I've walked plenty far before but the hardest hunt I ever did walking in was only about 300 yards, but it was through THICK vines. Like can't swing a machete, grit your teeth and push through vines, the whole way.

About 3 miles but it was pretty easy walking except for thick stuff at a few spots. Lots of birds and even a tilapia were shot that day.

I walked over 2 one time but that's because I missed a turn. Straight shot to a hole walk 1.25 miles it really is hard to go much further knowing you're going to have to carry gear back
Have taken the kayak a few miles then walked some more

Prior to the drought ending, I think I walked about 2 miles on day. With the gear and help packing in a yak, it felt like 8 miles.
