Where can I find some cheap 223 ammo?

In the Army....they give you a whole lot of it for free!!!

Cheap 223 ammo doesn't exist anymore. A month ago (I haven't checked lately) Sportsmans Guide had Brown Bear (made by Barnaul in Russia and identical to the steel cased Monarch ammo you can get at Academy) for a pretty good price. It is certainly not the best ammo out there, but it functions fine in my Ars. The cases do have lacquer on them, which can build up in the chamber of the gun, but that is not that hard to clean out. With the Obama election prices have soared and dealer stocks have dwindled to almost nothing, so buying online is probably your best bet.

idk what .223 ammo usually costs, but i saw a box of 200 rounds for 120 dollars at BPS last week.

I've seen it many times at Academy on 35 in Lewisville for about $10 a box 20 (or was it 50???).

When WalMart has them in stock I buy the Remington 100rd packs for $39.95 Seems like the best deal I can find for 100rds of reloadable brass.

Academy in Lewisville has some Monarch 223 fmj steel case for $6.49 a box, Remmington 223 brass at $9.99 at the counter,they moved the high volume ammo to behind the counter including the Monarch steel 7.62x39
all in stock a couple of hours ago even though I tried to cut them down some

The Academy on 820 & hwy 26 had 200 round of umc 55gr fmj for $99.00 i saw about 12 boxes on wed when i was there. Porters army & navy in Irving had rem umc 45gr jhp for $9.95 a box of 20 last week
