So I've decided that the first infrastructure improvement I need on my place is a water well but I don't have power yet either; and I want water so we can be ready for the spring & summer spraying.
I'm thinking about having a well drilled and fitted with a small gasoline pump and covered with a pre fab pump house....... Can anybody tell me what the cost would be? (ballpark figure)
Located 12mi north east of the Choctaw casino in Durant Oklahoma, and the closest neighbor said his well was 90' deep and had good water
As for power the 2 closest options are 1/4mile each from where I eventually want to build at.... Any ideas on cost to bring in power?
One old timer told me the power company wanted $1,000 per pole to install power but he couldn't tell me how fare apart they had to be and I don't know if his information was accurate to begin with.

I don't know about Oklahoma's electric, but I had some run and they put the poles 300 feet apart and wanted $3 per foot....so that is in the ballpark of what you have been told.
Cabin rental in Pagosa Springs, Co. Sleeps 10, If interested please PM me.

going from my experience
well: $5/ft min $200 they keep drilling til they hit one,,, ,cost will add up if that's the case
@90 ft with pump , reservoir etc ... $5000
Power: $1500 / pole
@1/4 mile you're looking at $11,000-$20,000
rates varies for locales, those numbers will give you an idea

In south Texas paid $12K to drill about 280 ft. Add another $3K for a solar powered pimp and tank. Best option if you don't have power.
