Shot a nice woody drake in the rice fields on Saturday. No clue what he was doing out there, but anyways I wanted to get him mounted. Maybe drank a little too much whiskey to stay warm that morning, so when my buddy passed the "Taxidermy by John" billboard in Sealy - I told him to head that way. John charges $295 for the bird to be ready by late spring. I'm sure I got sold, but there was no way I was getting back out of Houston to bring that bird somewhere else.

Curious on what your guys charge and if the mounts are worth it? I have seen plenty of $80 crappy mounts. From what I could tell by some of the mounts in John's store that they looked good.

Thanks bigsky. That makes me feel a little better.

If everyone had to be completely sober before buying anything, our economy would take a major hit.

X2. More important then the rate are the results. Don't use price to judge quality. Pat's is nothing short of a magician. The finished product being worth far more then he charges. We're super lucky he is local.
