Ok so I reloaded about 4 dozen rounds last month and seems like they're jamming in the rifle if not fired. The last 2 jammed enough to where when I finally pulled the bolt hard enough to open the chamber, the shell came out but the bullet was stuck and I had to use a cleaning rod to get it unstuck. I have checked and cross referenced the measurements and they are spot on. What should I look for to fix this? I shoot a remington 243 with SS barrel. Thanks!

The bullet was stuck??? If it's jammed into the lands that much you're WAY over OAL. At least in my book. Loads aren't showing any pressure signs when you shoot them? And what is the OAL measurement that you're saying is "spot on"? Have you measured your gun's chamber length with a gauge? How are you resizing your brass? Neck tension OK?

I can't think of anything that would cause a bullet to become stuck in the lands when you attempt to chamber it other than your OAL is much too long. If you still have the cartridges that are causing you the problem, measure the OAL on one of them and make sure it is at the length suggested by your reloading manual. Then run that one through your seating die and measure it again. Verify that the OAL is correct and repeatable. The adjustment may have come loose and drifted off. Like Creedmoor said, check for pressure signs because "jamming the lands" can cause major pressure spikes. I urge you not to shoot any more of these rounds until you've fixed this problem. Even if you find that OAL is correct, I'd still suggest you not shoot any more of them until a gun smith has a chance to inspect the firearm.

I have not measured my guns chamber length though. I have put the gun in the safe until I figure out whats going on. There was no deformity of the brass with any of them after firing.

See if factory loads chamber Ok. If so, set the COAL on reloads to the same as factory.
If you are like me, I had to find a friend with a factory load when I had issues with my new 223 barrel. I haven't shot a factory load in 30 or 35 years in any rifle I own.

So your pictures prove that your reloads are within the loading manual specs, which is a good thing. Now set the COAL back .10 and see how they chamber. As mentioned, rifle chambers are not all uniform, but I'm surprised that yours appears to be so far off that it won't accept an "in spec" COAL. If reducing the COAL doesn't fix your chambering problem, you definitely need to turn the patient over to a gun doctor. Something's not quite right. . .

Learned this on here but take an empty shell and deprime it. Next take a Dremel tool and cut off wheel and split the neck. Now you can shove a bullet in the case neck and chamber it into your gun. The bullet will somewhat freely slide into the case once it touches the rifling. Do this repeatedly until you get a consistent measurement. That will be your max case length for that rifle.

Take one of your reloads and shorten it in the seating die until the bullet doesn't hit the rifling and fine tune from there, usually for me this means a half turn of the seating stem off the rifling. The manuals are a guide, you are making ammo for your particular rifle.

Does seem like you have a shorter chamber BUT Hornady's manual OAL for that particular bullet is 2.640 so you are .060 Over manufacturers recommended length. I would start there and work out

^^^ This. Every bullet design is shaped a little different, and the ogive is what makes initial contact. So, there's not really a one size fits all for OAL. Typically this is why you will see an OAL listed for each bullet weight and style. If you'll notice, even in your photo above, the OAL for a 58 gr VMAX is 2.625". You are without a doubt seated too long, and jamming your bullets deep enough into the lands to get them stuck. Load one to DStrouds listed length after cross referencing Hornady's data, and I bet your problem disappears.
