There is wayyyy to much purchased steel in that thing On a serious note that thing is bad to the bone. I want that griddle!!!!! I believe I am going to sick my welder dude on it. Weight in the boat is a big thing. I bought a half size propane bottle the other day. With the regular propane tank, double burner and the cast iron griddle all added together that adds up to over 100 pounds. His griddle burners and bottle are probably half of that. I am definitely robbing the pic, stopping by the shop this evening and he will have it done by Friday. That is way better than what I am doing now. Where is the crapper?

Is it for sale? Are they rigging it out with a motor or is it a tow into place and leave it?

I love parade floats. They're very festive.

I have to say, I like the boat and some of his ideas. To follow that, it is not for me as I built mine for a completely different reason, therefore two completely different designs. I am assuming his is built to tow in place and hunt like a blind. Mine has multi functionality. I don't need a boat for transport. We can sleep extremely comfortably. If I put the decoys out the night before we can sleep pretty late, make coffee and hunt. I think his was built with the idea of a bunch of men arriving in the morning and hunting. Mine was built for an overnight haul and comfort. I know I achieved the comfort part because my wife has been asking when we are going to go hunt it again. I am certainly not taking away from his boat, it is very nice. We just had two different reasons to build.

You're right, it's going to be used as a floating blind on the same conservation lake, not for spending the night in. One of those nice loafing tanks where they land in the middle. Might get dragged to different spots a few times per season. They mentioned a crapper, but after a previous experience with toilets flushing into freshwater reservoirs I opted out of being a part of that again. I rigged up a 12 volt feeder battery with solar panel for the LED strips

Outstanding work! People may scoff and say what they say. This might be the future of duck hunting public. At the bay I know a lot of game wardens. Everyone of them are fed up to there hat brows with the "He is in my blind" calls and arguments on the water. The future I see is you bring your blind and you leave with it. Just read half the comments on the very popular fishing forum. The fisherman are a huge lobby and half of them don't like the blinds being left in the water. Don't shoot the guy bringing the information, just read it and see what the future holds. I talked to a guy the other day down there. He said the blind burning has already commenced at the coast. I try to stay clear of such activity. On the split opener I knew where the raft of birds was located and I could hear dozens of airboats headed that way. We opted to stay out of the MMA duck hunting world and we shot plenty of birds. We didn't see another hunter all weekend.
On a better note. tell me about the griddle. Did you weld it? is it just plate and angle iron?

I need to do the same for my leds. I bought a push button switch that allows/ allowed me to change the colors and turn it on and off. It is obviously not going to stand up to the elements even though out of the rain. I am getting a funky slurple looking color as I think all the color spectrum is receiving 12 v power. I need to stick to one color and solder in a switch like the one you have. These strips will run on a single 9v battery for hours.

Griddle is 16"x32" all out of 1/4" plate. Cut it and the sides out on my robot machine and welded it up
