It was cold, 8 degrees on the car thermometer this am. Saw some deer but nothing to throw a bullet at. This afternoon was more mild, 35 and calm. Had lots of deer show and then leave, for no apparent reason. After a while some started coming back and this guy seemed to be following a doe that came in. Doe wasn't interested in him but he caught my attention enough to drop him. 150 yards and 25-06 shooting hornaday SST 117 gr did the job quickly. Bang flop dead. Double lunged. Bullet left chest cavity and buried in opposite shoulder. Now it's my son's turn this Thursday. Nothing huge, solid 9 pt with 15 inch inside and 7 3/4 inch g3's. not shabby and now I hope the 10 pt shows for my son.

I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.
