First post ever so go easy on me. Im an avid Hunter and have hunted Pheasant many times but I have now found myself with no place to hunt them. Im 53 and my son is 19, we are both going crazy wanting to do at least a weekend hunt. Any suggestions or help? I promise we are not greenhorns! lol Thanks in advance for any help.

Good question. Welcome to the forum. Do you have a dog?

No sir. We have hunted in Liberal Kansas in the past but that played out. At that time we had a group large enough to have walkers and blockers and a few guys had dogs but not myself. Thank you for the welcome. I have been a voyeur in the past watching and reading the forum but never a member. Just became a member recently and had killed my best buck to date but have yet to figure out how to post the pic lol.
Thanks for the response.

Welcome to the forum. There needs to be a THF pheasant hunt planned.

If your buck pic is on your computer, first, edit it down to the biggest dimension is 800 pixels, then click on the 5th button from the left at the top of the reply/post form (the brown/sunset looking icon with a blue arrow going up), then click "browse" and keep clicking to where the picture is. Click "Open", then "Add", then "Save All Images". It should appear in your post.

Contact Shattuck Hunting in Gregory SD. A hunt with them is well worth it.

I've been researching like crazy your better off heading out of state. It seems TX doesn't have a lot of places to hunt public and it gets pounded quick.

I have some space available Southwest Airlines tickets to trade for a Pheasant hunt if anyone knows of any good contacts. Otherwise I will be calling some of those out of state outfitters.
Thanks for the info. and suggestions guys!

There is a place in Grant OK where I'm looking to hunt this month. They have a special going where with three hunters for 10 Birds is $350.

I'm not sure if that is what your looking for, but I have never been. My step dad talks about how he use to in Pierre SD while growing up and I though I would take him, but he doesn't want to go this month.

My brother and 3 buddies went around Dodge City, Ks opening weekend and limited out the 2 days they hunted. All on public land. He said they just hunted corners and moved a bunch of birds.

Most of the land up there is under center pivots and the corners of the fields grow up and make great bird habitat.

This year I hunted pheasants at Quail Quest Hunting in Hunter, KS (470 miles from north Tx). Jason and his family have some great land, planted and cut to hold birds. Their service is outstanding and there are no bird limits! I highly recommend QQ. I just finished up a video and will post that in this forum.

Their website is:
