Always wondered about stuff like this in a ar county! 3 or 4 years ago this buck got his ear messed up fighting durung the rut. His ear got infected and his horns have never been the same. Dont think he is anywhere close to 13". The wife and i call him old one ear! When he comes to the feeder all the other deer haul a$$. Out of all the bucks, he always makes me chuckle. Lavaca county.

Probably was a bad @$$ at some point, that or the deer tell stories that made him a legend with that messed up ear. They all whisper about what they heard happened lol

Yeah we just watch him sneak up to the feeder and bow up to the other bucks. He thinks he's a 200 class buck when he jumps in the feed pen and other bucks are around. I was hoping he would get some weird interesting antlers but it doesent look like it.

He chased this deer out from behind my feed pen last year, who never showed up in day Ight till the day i shot him, he only came out after dark. He helps me out sometimes! When i shot this buck ole one ear hung around all puffed up. He was pissed at that buck.

He looks like a big ugly nose guard. I would not mess with him if I was in the feed pen with him either.

He was a nice 8 when he was young, the infection did something to his growth in his horns. The year after he lost his ear his Horns came back like this. So I don't think it's a trait that can be passed on lol.
