Someone did a nice thread on it a few years ago. http://texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/1811831/

I have Dove hunted it a couple times, but only on one of the small ponds. Did well one year and nothing the other. My understanding is it can hold Geese sometimes. I would call the manager for the area to find what the current conditions are.

They will be honest with what they are seeing.

The big key is... did the farmer across the highway plant peanuts this year?

When was\is the youth hunt? If it is this weekend, it is probably going to be iced over.

up Good, I had an ice out problem on a Meade KS drawn hunt. Believe me when I say cutting a hole in the ice for decoys is a lot of work.

I hunted there a couple of years ago on the Youth adult hunt. We limited out both days on Mallards. Drew it last year and called the biologist and he said there was so much water the ducks are not using it. Give the biologist a call he will shoot straight with you. In may case it's a 6 hour drive there so unless it's good I am not going. If I lived within a couple of hours I would go regardless. It's a cool place.
