Had a great trip with the guys at crane wreckers in OK the last couple days. 9 of us went and everyone shot 20 guage or smaller including a couple of us with 410s. First day we had bright sunny weather with a good wind and smashed em.

Dutch hunter made the trip over from the NL to join us.

Was great getting my dad and sister out too.

Day two was tough. Rain and no wind made it tough.
Monte and bryan said it was going t be tough but they still put in full effort.

The noisy crickets with lead 4s got it done. But since they were landing birds in the kill hole at 9 yards I think a cork gun would have gotten it done.

Awesome, I always enjoy your post. You use small bore lots of time. I'm not brave enough yet to use them on ducks and cranes.

Lead 4s? I always thought you had to use steel on cranes. Interesting

Cigarettes are like hamsters. Perfectly harmless til you put it in your mouth & light it on fire

You can use Lead on Cranes as long as you don't intend to shoot geese. Most guys just shoot steel in case. Cranes are just migratory birds(like dove)not considered waterfowl . That's why you can use lead.

Duck/goose was closed in OK this week so we all ran lead 4's.

Shooting ducks with the 410 isn't bad. Inside 35 yards it smashes them. However, it sucks for cleaning up cripples. We are going after king eiders noisy cricket style in jan.
