elmer I never pass on them or hogs. One of the reasons I'm in the woods is to shoot. I've never had any issues with deer not arriving to eat after a shot. If I shoot early in the mornings, and the deer are still active I will let whatever I've shot stay where they drop and deer and hogs don't seem to mind. peep

I Feed Indian Corn. The deer love it and all the colors make them stay at the feeder longer.

rifle boom ... never a second thought. I grew up in cattle, sheep and goat country, every rancher would be quite frank to all the hunters about passing a 14 1/2 point buck if there was a coyote present to shoot. I am close to the same with hogs.

Yep. My deer hunts have turned into predator/vermin kills many times.

So for those of you that shoot every yote you see do you also shoot every snake you see? If so do you have a problem with mice getting into everything at camp?

In 10 years on my lease I've only seen 1 yote but here them all the time, rattlesnakes get popped on site.

Shoot every coyote I see, otherwise the landowner would be mad. She lost over 40 goats in one year, mostly kids but that is a lot of goats, and she shut the goats up at night, those were daytime kills.

Hogs do not get a pass either. If I hear the hogs and think I can get in on them I will leave the stand to go shoot hogs.

I've shot a coyote and 5 mins later the feeder went off, this doe was that close to its body when I shot it.

I see it this way, deer aren't going to show up if the coyote is hanging around. They might or might not show up if you start shooting, so I'll take my chances making sure all song dogs go to heaven.

No. I'm deer hunting, not varmint hunting.

My bolt rifle goes full auto when a yote pops out 9/10 times...I figure for all the hrs spent in the stand over the years, I likely wont scare off that mythical B&C buck..

NP, you must get a different license then what I get, mine is a "hunting" license grin

He's just trying to stir the pot as usual and get a reaction...

Yes it's always Deer Hunting but most Ranchers and Landowners will not Tolerate someone allowing a Varmint to walk.
Plain and Simple, Livestock are to valuable.
I have seen a guy watching a video of his deer at a feeder when videoing became the Rage...and the Landowner walked in and was watching the video and said why did you not shoot that Bobcat...He said I didn't want to scare my Deer off.

He finished eating walked outside, walked up to the Strawboss and said tell him to have his stuff gone and don't come back.

I had a doe jet across sendera last weekend and I just knew a buck would be close behind. I waited a minute or so and a coyote came loping after her. He moved through too fast, so I whistled hoping he would give me a shot. No joy - just kept moving. At that point I knew the hunt was blown anyway, so why not shoot the predator and get it over with IMHO.

I will let foxes slide, just because I like watching them.

Coyotes die if they cross the property. Killed two so far since deer season started.
