Well I think the youth hunt went well for a couple of folks in LBJ on Saturday even with all that wind. We went to scout and the truck parked beside us had two young Toms in the back. We saw a Dad and son across the field from us and we saw another Dad and kid in their blind. It was great to see a Dad and child out in the woods together. Too many Dads never spend anytime with their Dad. No better place to spend time with your kid than on a hunt even if the kid is 22 like mine is. Way to go DADS

My son is 15 now. Taken turkey on his own but he still likes to go with dad. I must admit I enjoy it too, I don't know if he likes my company, calling or the fact I'll pick up the tab for breakfast at his favorite place the most.

That breakfast stuff never ends. We are heading up to LBJ from Arlington on Saturday. About the time we get to Decauter at about 6 am. My 22 year old says "Are we going to eat". So we stopped for breakfast. The good thing is when we left the field heading home we headed for Cabelas and he bought lunch. It is great then they have a job of their own.
