I assume this won't provide credit for the hunters ed required for the youth.

No, unfortunately, hunter's ed and bow ed are two different classes/certifications. But the good thing it only needs to be taken once and it is good for life. Also, it's good anywhere in the world. So, anybody 12 and up that even thinks they might want to bow hunt in their life..this would be a good opportunity. Plus, it will cover alot of basic hunting techniques, like following a blood trail, etc. that would help a hunter whether he/she hunts gun or bow.

It's a class I have toyed with the idea of taking many times but this one is a little far. At 14 though my son needs a hunter ed class and if it worked for both I would make the drive for both of us. Kill two bird, or three really, with one arrow so to speak.

I'm in. I've used a bow for years but my son is just getting started and this would be fun for both of us, something to do together.
