I once found a big heaping pile of crap in an Aoudad bow blind just outside of Bracketville.

Those owls make a mess! I can still smell the nasty stank that we found when we opened up one of the tower blinds--contained a partially decomposed juvenile owl, too.
Ugh...

Found a ringtail cat. Scared the hell out of me almost as much as the owl a few years earlier!

Baby owls, have pics somewhere. My worst though was opening stand door, about 10 foot off ground and even with my head while standing on step where I opened door, one morning about an hour before daylight to something hissing at me. Fell off ladder onto back and by time I came to my senses and caught my breathe it sounded like it was tearing my stand down. Got flashlight and machete climbed back up cracked door to see a really pissed off mama coon and 2 babies. I opened door and jumped down and out they came. Talk about scary having a mad coon less than 6" from your face in the dark.
1 other time I had a rat come into my ground blind early before daylight. I never saw it just felt some thing go across my boot. Turned on light and it made a b-line for the whole it came in.

Yes, I wish I had the video camera running when a friend opened the door to his box stand and scared a buzzard out of it. I'm not sure who got scared most, the buzzard or my friend.
The condition of the stand was much like the one shown here, minus the chicks. If we were not afraid of setting the woods on fire, we would have burned it to the ground.

I haven't ever found anything too interesting in my blinds. Mostly other peoples trash...empty cups, half filled spit bottles, empty casings, water bottle with cig butts in it. This year I found a dead coyotes skull inside my feeder pen. No idea what happened because I had the gate open at that point of the year.

Binoculars, flashlights, half-eaten sandwiches to start. Got in my stand early opening morning and when the sun came up there were three men sleeping under a tree about 30 yds from my stand. I eased back out and left. Notified landowner and he called deputy sheriff. All were gone when they checked. Never hunted that lease again. Got on a new lease and the first stand I went to had "used" condoms in it. Not a pretty site.

Battled a ringtail cat for better than an hour once in broad daylight when I was a teenager. Was doing my annual blind clean out getting ready for the season. He had made it his home and was not gonna let it go without a fight. Could not bring myself to kill it so just kind of poked him with a stick till he gave up. Also had a similar situation with a squirrel but that's another story for another day.

Was in a pop up blind that had been set up for a while and a medium pack rat came in to join me. I gave him half the cookie I was eating and he stayed for about an hour. I was eating looking out the window, Mr. Ratt was eating looking under the edge of the blind. A good hunting partner. He then wandered off, had things to do, places to go, other rats to see.

She have a nice rack? No wall-hanger but met the legal minimum

Do you guys not lock your blinds? When I built mine I put doors with locks on them. I understand if someone wants In the blind they'll break in, but at least the locked door keeps honest people honest. Like land owners and their family.

Previous lessee's Playboy collection. I was 17. Funny, I never shot a deer out of that blind. This is why you gotta wear two pairs of socks...dont wanna get blisters walking back to camp missing a sock.
