The rain hit last night into today

Not many people are seeing signs only a handful of elk have been shot form what I can tell

Yep, the weather set up I think was worse than last year, they where hardly even bugling during archery rut..

The Thursday prior to my hunt, weather was nice, I had at least one young sounding bull behind my camp, then Friday afternoon, the winds hit, coupled with warmer temps and full moon, elk just disappeared, likely back up high from what I was told by the outfitters.

Y'all have a long season, stay at it, they will likely trickle through. good luck fellas.

Very true! Last year someone brought a bottle of something to camp that was pretty good. Cant remember what it was though? Honey whiskey or something?

That was the bottle of American Honey I brought, it is my favorite!

I brought a couple of nice single malts the first year. Perhaps on a related note, I don't believe the gentleman that finally put an elk on the ground drinks a drop. Could there be a connection? Say it ain't so!
