I use some german shorthairs in my guide service and have had no problems. I have 2 pups that are 6 months old and besides the barking, they are doing great and are really fast learners.

I had gsp's for years. They are great dogs but need lots of exercise. I switched to labs they fit my needs better. But my uncle still has some that we use for quail and pheasant.

I love GSPs. We have 3, 2 females and a male. One of the females doesn't hunt, but the male and female are great quail hunters. The male is a specimen. 90 lbs of solid muscle and beautiful disposition. Saved him on the highway, and the breeder let me have him as it was his last pup ad he was moving to CO. Never got his papers, or he would be a great stud for everyone.

my shorthair is pretty heavily ticked he is a great looking dog still needs training but I took he last weekend and he did a awsome job impressed the heck out of me I would like to breed him. I would only charge around $150 for stud services b/c he isnt trained. after he gets trained it will prolly go up

filson03's dog was very impressive. I hunted with him when he took him out for the very first time and that dog realyy impressed the hell outta me. i could not beleive how good he did for having never been around it before. The dog also looks really great and in my opinion would be a great stud.
