Hunting season is over, and about time to start fishing, but what do you guys think/ heard about the new Mathews monster and reezen? Its time for me to upgrade from my Outback...although still is a sweet bow and did take 6 animals with it this season!

Neither, the Reezen is awful. the draw cycle sucks for a Mathews and it has quite a bit of vibration in it. And the monster has a 5 inch brace height on one of its variations. ............NO THANKS

They have hyped the monster up and I'd bet my PSE X Force will still out preform it

The monster is just a rip off of the x force if you look at them they are really close to the same thing the x force is still getting better kinetic energy and fps

My Brother is A mathews dealer and has shot the Monster. he says it's way fast! More bow than most guys will be able to shoot. He says unless you are a daily shooter you will be disappointed in your accuracy. "like putting the average driver in a world class dragster and expecting them to handle it"

My DXT is a great bow. Shot the Reezen, a little faster than my DXT, but not as smooth. I hear that the Monster is going to be a lot faster, but as somebody else said, you have to shoot, shoot and shoot it to stay accurate.

I shot the MONSTER today.I was extremely suprised. Fast is an understatement. I was surprised that it was as quiet as it was and tere was very little felt hand vibration.Just for the record, I am not a Mathews dealer. I do shoot 3-d tournaments all over the country. I have been on Hoyts shooting staff for the last 3 years, so dont think I am just hypeing up this bow. I was truely impressed. I swear to you, if I loose my staff shooter deal, I WILL HUNT WITH THIS BOW!!!!!!

Yeah and you are probably like me and shoot every day. I seriously doubt that someone who occasionally shoots a bow will be able to handle the speed and the short barace height

5"...that is going to require some fantastic form, not to mention meticulously "tuned" setup not as forgiving id think!

the monster isnt as smooth as the reezen...shot its saturday at Davids in wford and towards the end of the draw it has about 1" to pull back thats tougher than the rest of the draw. I dont know if this is because its a demo or what??

Nope they are all that way. The Monster loads up really bad the last part of the draw cycle. I did not like it at all, I don't see how anyone can be smooth with it unless you are shooting it at light poundage. But thats why they are getting the speed out of it that they are getting.

I love my DXT. It's smooth, accurate, and fast enough to be plenty deadly. It's the best bow I've owned to date.

I just sold it and ordered a Monster.

I was shooting the demo without sights and with a whisker biscuit and was hitting what I was shooting at pretty easily. No problems. I found the Monster to be so fast that it offset the slight difference in smoothness.

And, yes, I have shot the X-Force and did not like it. It was not the right bow for me. I found the Monster to be much smoother for me and to be just what I wanted.

Tried the Monster at a local shop and its the only bow I said I would never own. The hand shock was terrible.

If you are picking between the then I would lean to the Rezzen smother quieter and fast enough to kill anything you want.
