It's not cold enough to think about pheasant hunting, but I can't wait to get back up to Oklahoma for another good season.

I'll be in Downs, KS. this fall hunting with my two brothers. I went with them two years ago and it was a wonderful time. I had never hunted pheasant and man have I been missing out.

hey bozo your dead on there, I was invited 2 years ago to my first pheasant hunt. Heck the first couple of times the birds got up I could not shoot. Hell they looked like 747's taking off...lol. After that I settled down. I also enjoyed shooting 4 chuckers on that trip. Can't wait to do it again.

Saw four while waiting for doves yesterday. If coyotes aren't getting them we should have a lot of birds. I saw small birds last week and am hoping for a second hatch, we had plenty of rain this year.

I have been to Western Kansas the Past 3 years and had a blast. I am going again this year and might go a second time in Southern Nebraska. Does anyone know how the conditions have been in either of these 2 places.

Why go all the way to oklahoma and kansas. The pheasant hunting in the panhandle is just as good. I limit out every year. Check out the chamber of commerce for any panhandle town. They all put on pheasant hunts.
