I was thinking about making one. Do any of yall have them? If so do you have any suggestions and do they work with out harming the deer?

If you keep your feeder going, just take a piece of wire and run it around the feeder legs 10" off the ground.

I'm curious to know what design has worked best for others. I've tried a couple but never had any luck. What kind of wire do you wrap around the feeder legs?

I think they are a waste of time..but thats just my 10 cents sir.. I have had the best luck by starting at your feed pen and making circles expanding out at each passing.. also crossings and creek bottoms for Axis.. Good Luck

For us if its not laying under a feeder or stuck in your tire your probably not finding it. Only time the grass wasn't at least 3' tall was when the place burned in 2009.

We would make an X under the feeders. Put T post by each leg of feeder. Then run cattle fence to make an X under the feeder.

My grandfather had great luck with the X under the feeder in south Texas. He would keep and eye on the house/pet deer. When he saw one drop horn. He'd have the hands go put up the X's on all the feeders.

If you will plan your feed weekend about 2-3 weeks before they drop that's where you will find them ...
