Finally got out to 1200 yards yesterday at ETTS, wind was blowing, holding 3.5 mils on my 6.5 SAUM. First time out with a new barrel too.
Anywhere around here to shoot out farther? Maybe even a couple hours drive might be worth it.

My deer lease is good to 1 mile. We have gongs starting at 782 yards, 1200 something, 1500 something, and 1 mile. Out past 1000 yards ranges get even harder to find.

It's usually pretty quiet there. People are friendly, not many noobs like regular ranges. Yesterday was surprisingly busy on the long range, but the 1-200 was empty. Lots of bays for pistol/rifle shooters on steel too. You can do a day rate for $30 or go with a member for $20.

$600/yr is cheap for 1200 yd access. I used to live in BCS and the only 1000 yard range nearby was Cawthon Cartridge Club. I think they charge either $1500 or $1800 a year. And I recall the rules being pretty strict about when you could bring a guest.

Don't think day members can use 1200 at Etts. Think you have to be a member

My creedmoor was 10 Mils at 1000 and 13.7 Mils at 1200. The only other place that I know to shoot beyond that is taking the Etreme long range class at Tacpro near Mingus
If you shoot a young deer because a neighbor will shoot it, you are that neighbor.

Can't remember my come up but I'm guessing around 2950fps.

600. Dang my local range at 60.00 a year don't seem so bad. But only have 200 yards.

There's a place far west texas in Sanderson that goes to 3k and a range in south Kansas that goes to 2200. Other than private property those are your closest options for ELR

your best bet on finding a place to shoot long range is get on a big lease or buy enough land
I can do over 2200 yds on mine using the mountain/hill as backstop

I'm sure you could do a course with FTW ranch. They managed out to 3800 yards on this shot. I think Rifles Only down in Kingsville has a 1400 yard range.
