Absolutely. No doubt. 50 draw is plenty. As long as it is accurate you should be good to go.

I've killed a bunch of rabbits with an air rifle. That thing should have more power.

Words of advice...
If you shoot one in suburbia and have neighbors that are close, make sure you shoot it in such a manner that it dies quickly.
Nothing worse than running after a screaming wounded cottontail in your neighbors front yard while school children are getting off the bus... not that I have any idea what that's like.

Should do the job. I have killed rabbits and squirrels with a BB gun that only shoots about 580 fps. But don't use field point. Get some type of cutting head. Looks like this one is the same. http://www.amazon.com/Unknown-LE50-50-lb-Pistol-Crossbow/dp/B000N239RG

It will be more than enough. I have killed rabbits with a slingbow that has a lot less pull than that.

LOL Sound like the guy who has a deer stand in the back yard and bow hunts. Trailing a wounded one can be an issue!

That brings back memories. I had one identical to that as a kid probably 15 yrs ago. Don't remember the draw weight on it but I was to young to just pull it back without putting it on the ground and using both hands to pull while standing on it
