I use a pair of redfield 10x42, they work pretty good. Good clarity in low light.

Another nod at 10x42. I have Nikons. The balance tips from there imo. Bigger glasses become more difficult to carry, smaller don't get quite the picture you may want. I use mine more bow hunting than I ever thought I would. They are great for the deer that you can't quite make out without glasses. Nice to see what is skirting you at 75yds!

Best in the mid class $200-400 binos, in my opinion.
Oh, and some brand of bino straps are a must! They allow you to carry a fairly heavy pair for hours in the field without even knowing they're there.
My 2cents

I have an older Swarvoski 10x50 Habicht binoculars that I bought new in the early 90's. I think I need to send them back and get the glass re coated since it's been so long and they have suffered some abuse over the years. They have been great, especially at low light. They are on the heavy side, but I would never think of not having them with me while out hunting. If I buy another pair, I will probably go for 12x50. My eyes are getting older and a little more power would be worth the extra weight.

15X56 Geovids only because I got a screaming deal on them. If they would have had the 10X42's on sale I would have gotten them.

We carry 8 x 30 Steiner's in the field; Have larger 10x and 12x in the truck, but it's too large, but it can be rested from the truck.

10x42 for about 90% of my hunting. 8x32 for timber and the other 10%

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Nikon 10x50. Some of you guys need to lay off the caffeine. They aren't that hard to hold steady. coffee

Have a lot of 10x42s. If I were to upgrade I'd go to 15x56 SLCs with tripod adapter and not worry about needing a spotting scope as much.

Zeiss 10x42 and Nikon 12x50 both have worked great for me. Zeiss are hands down the best binos I've ever used.

Yep. Cabelas Euro HD. Great glass for the money.

How do you like those? I saw Academy has them on sale for $199 right now. Was thinking about picking up a pair.

This. I have even considered going to an 8x because they are even easier to steady.

I used buddy's 15x lecia in NM. I was shocked at the ability to keep them steady. They are on my expansion list now.

Love my 11x45 Maven no issues with steady
