For the last 3 seasons I've watched this 7pnt. buck grow on game cam from 3 1/2 yr old to now but always after dark or middle of the nite movements as he would come in and eat alfalfa hay for an hour at 3am. So I named him "Lucky 7" Becouse he was always lucky he never showed his face in daylight legal shooting hours LOL. He stepped out this morning in the 30+ mph winds and the chilliest temps we've seen this year at 756am. That's him after a good meal lol. Always after dark. Almost never the same times 2 days in a row. He quartered away and I adjusted for a double lung pass thru. I no a lot of people who won't hunt in high winds but I see a lot of nice deer in the crappiest of conditions. Frost predicted tonight with low to mid 30s in the Real county. Bucks are starting to check does and starting to move with a season change finally starting to happen. It's only a few weeks late.its the greenest November in my 12 years hunting my place. Frost do your magic and kill kill kill all the food!! Lol There is still a big nocturnal summer like pattern going on. This cold weather finally got the deer going I've seen deer the last 7 days 7 more to go. A great TX hill country low fence buck. Nothing better than when a plan comes together.

Congratulations! Did you measure his inside spread? I'd be curious as to how big he is. (And no, this has nothing to do with ARs.)

Great story and buck. Your place isn't in 'Spring country' by chance, is it?
Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it. Don't text and drive.
