There is surely something interesting down in there. How many years have you hunted the place?

Just bought it in August, but I've bumped a few does as I've been exploring the property. I'm on the north side of 4306 right at the last bend. Seen a ton of pigs though, so I'm a little worries about this season.

The woods in the back half are awesome. As you noticed, lots of pigs. Does BL still have cattle on it?

How many acres are you hunting? If you don't mind me asking...

John L is currently running cattle out there. Is BL his son? Munoz, just under 90.

John would be his father. The place I had was along the south side to the left bend as you're headed into the bottoms. Best of luck on your season.

I used one on a spike about 30 seconds into legal shooting light on opening moning. I barely had time to get my bow out of the case before he walked up. Haven't hunted since then. And it's killing me bang

Saw first buck trailing does this morning in the yard. Pretty decent little 7 point. He was working scrape line and following the girls. Not chasing yet just trailing.

I have seen this buck before from another hunter. That thing behind his left ear is his antler/main beam that wraps around the back of his head behind his ear.

Out between Campbell and Commerce, I have been seeing lots of does and fawns, small bucks were still in groups two weeks ago.

I had a visitor though. Appears that they found themselves on my cam, took card out, went home and deleted two weeks worth of pics ( including the ones that showed them), and returned my card to the cam. Only thing showing on the card was Saturday morning at 10:19 (some stray cows). Looks like my son missed them by about two hours from when he went to pull the card. I hate ignorant people. At least though, they did leave my camera and returned the card.....

Saw one small buck but that was it. Hunted the morning. Fighting the mud was the hardest part. Barely made it to the stand.

Yeah similar to my luck. Saw one fork horn yearling. That was it, but I'm still trying to learn my place.
