So I had a new timney trigger installed on my Ruger mark 2 ,yesterday at the range gun discharged while trying to put on safety gun will not go on safety now either. Should I put factory trigger back or can this issue be fixed ?

Take it back to whoever installed the trigger. I would not touch it. It's either faulty work or a faulty trigger. I have not heard of that on a timney.

Good indicator of why he's closing down? Take it to a reputable gunsmith pronto.

I installed one yesterday, had to be milled .100" to clear the safety. I'd guess your guy removed to much metal allowing the trigger/sear edges to get too close in safe. As little as .005" too much removed can cause issues.
Not enough overtravel adjusted into the system can also cause safety issues. Maybe that set screw/ nut came loose.
This is a great example as to why the cheapest price may not be the best idea.

Had a similar epic disaster of the same situation with a place called "McKinney Gun & Knife Supply".....
To make a long story short this guy screwed mine up so badly, we had to send it to Ruger to have the rifle returned to original condition, then send it to Timney for them to install the trigger.
He actually ground away parts of the inside of my stock for some reason....
After all that, the owners son at McKinney Gun & Knife Supply wouldn't refund my money that I paid for the installation unless I signed a waiver that released them from liability form the creation of earth to date.......

Dewayne brings up a good point, I had to slightly relieve the stock on one side if the trigger to get it to clear. The timney trigger is slightly wider than the factory unit. Very little needs removed though with a chisel.

I had a gunsmith do a trigger job on my mark II....funny thing is you can't do a trigger job on a factory mark II...have to use aftermarket
Never had any issues and it took it down to a clean 3 lbs.
15 years later we are still going strong
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.
