I'd quit hunting before it resorted to that...my apologies for your desperation.

a) I would purposefully hunt them, they are ducks, they decoy like ducks, and they taste like ducks, not to mention beautiful b) the decoys are cool and we all know ducks will decoy to other species of ducks

anot to mention beautiful The last 2 weeks of the season....any other time they look like a darker colored hen. Never thought about it but maybe until then we should refer to all spoonie drakes as Caitlyn

Those look great! Yea, mixing another species into your spread is not a bad thing, especially when they have that much white on them. The birds can see those blocks from a looooong ways off. I'd happily hunt over those decoys.

Those look great. More guys need to put out the "less popular" species of decoys IMO. Set decoys to match the species you see at the spot, don't focus on what species you would like to shoot. I see a lot of all mallard or mallard/pintail spreads in areas that hardly hold any mallards.

I see a lot of all mallard or mallard/pintail spreads in areas that hardly hold any mallards. Completely agree with this. When I hunt big water I like to put coot decoys out to give the big ducks a sense of comfort when checking out my spread. Those spoonies look amazing!

I just got done making fun of my brother for buying a half dozen smiley decoys. As much as I agree with using more non-mallard decoys, I don't know about smileys.

Those will definitely add more visibility to a spread.
