I've eaten at El Torito in Cameron a couple of times lately. I must say it is very, very good Mexican food. Better than I've had in a long time.

Cervante's in Albuquerque, New Mexico!

Pork Adovada! Anything really, but the Pork Adovada is amazing. I've found nothing like it in Tx.

I seriously don't think there is any good Mexican food restaurants in Texas. Tex-Mex maybe. But nothing more than that.

Blasphemer, may you have hair in your enchiladas. The audacity of that comment sickens me.

El Ranchito in Dallas. The Cabrito a la Parrilla (baby boat) is phenomenal. And the Milanesa (chicken fried steak, spanish version) is awesome!

Waco - Ninfa's
Frisco - Manny's
Pleasanton - Any of them

Here was my dinner at Casa Del Rio in San Antonio a few weeks back:

My picks in the Metroplex

Cuquitas on Henderson
El Ranchito on Jefferson
Marrianos in Old Town
La Acapulquena on E. Grand
Mattitos on Routh, BEST Brunch anywhere!
Javiers on Cole

Way more Tex-Mex then the other joints, but we eat at these pretty regularly.

La Pradera in Terrell
Carmona's in Terrell
Arbeleda's in Royse City
Dos Charro's in Rowlett
Jalapeno Tree in Mesquite

KD if you're used to west Texas mexican food you sure are going to miss asado. You can't find it up here. I was raised in Odessa and everytime I go back I fill up on asado.

That is so true. There was a place in Odessa on W. Co. rd. called Esperonza (sp) and they had something called 'Gizo'...not sure what I was eating but DAGGUM it was good. Their asado was to die for as well.
